ART RESIDENCY
at the Invisible Dog art center, Brooklyn
Some highlights:
- discovery of Storm King thanks to its artistic director/chief curator Nora Lawrence, here with sculptures by Menashe Kadisman (Suspended, 1977) and Alexandrer Liberman (Adam, 1970)
- panelist of Night Of Ideas 2022 at Villa Albertine, Embassy of France in NYC, thanks to Gaetan Bruel
- immersion in Glenstone thanks to its architect Jeanne Phifer and its director/chief curator Emily Wei Rales
- breakfast with Jean-Louis Cohen, architecture critic/historian, observing the NYC skyline
- bike in Central Park with its ex director Adrian Benepe (current president of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden)
- curves & lines with Calder so many times like here at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
- diving in Yayoi Kusama installation… always “exotically”… at Hirshhorn Museum in Washington thanks to its ex deputy director Elizabeth Duggal
- my best coffees: an iced Americano with authors Leila Slimani & Sanae Lemoine, a Saturday expresso with Noguchi’s Museum director Brett Littman, a Viennese cafe with Neue Galerie NYC Museum deputy director Scott Gutterman, a cappuccino with contemporary art curator of Philadelphia Museum of Arts Erica Battle
- discovery of the Synagogue for the Arts in NYC with photographer Meryl Meisler
